Walt Disney, who on this day 100 years ago, signed a distribution deal for a cartoon series based on Lewis Caroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” therefore founding what we now know as one of the largest media companies in the world. While Walt and his brother Roy founded the company in 1923, it took 14 years before their first major production (“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”) hit theaters and garnered widespread attention. Disney now ranks among a very small percentage of companies in the United States to be more than 100 years old.

Friday: President Biden plans to host a joint summit with the European Union, marking “the second U.S.- EU Summit since President Biden took office.” Topics on the table?
